Well it looks like the EU is about to meet and try to talk Russia to surrender...
The French EU presidency is preparing to call an emergency EU summit on the Russia-Georgia conflict, following a Polish request. A snap gathering of EU foreign ministers has already been organised in Brussels for Wednesday (13 August).
Well of course the french are calling for talks... God only know they wouldn't suggest something stronger because their only military experience in the last 50 years is a tutorial on "how to sell rifles dropped only once" in war.
In all seriousness this is just crazy, lets have a meeting a week from now to talk about trying to setup talks with Russia to stop invading an ally and European company. It's clear that Russia is trying to prevent Georgia from becoming a stable government and also prevent them from getting in NATO. It's going to take something a little more than talking to get Russia to back off this dangerous course.
Also of note, American Sheeple are still in the dark as to the risk this war is to our country and this ally. Today on 'Meet the Press' they spent more time talking about John Edwards and the slut than they did going over Russia invading an European ally. Way to go NBC welcome to the great status of tabloid news show.
